GreenShield Canada is a national extended-health insurer, and Provider Connect is the gateway clinics submit to. Clinicmaster claims professional services online in real time and, on adjudication, creates the funder invoice and insurer payment together.
The GreenShield integration
GreenShield Canada is a national health and dental benefits carrier, and Provider Connect is its provider-facing claims gateway. Clinicmaster submits professional-services claims — physiotherapy, chiropractic and related disciplines — online and in real time, authenticating with token-based credentials, and uses the adjudication response to raise the funder invoice and post the insurer payment.
What the GreenShield integration does.
Same principle as the other real-time private payers: submit from the record, and let the answer land on the ledger rather than on a to-do list.
Real-time online claims
Professional-services claims are submitted online and adjudicated in the same exchange, so coverage is known while the patient is still in the clinic.
Invoice and payment created together
An accepted claim produces the funder invoice and the insurer payment in one step, so nobody transcribes the adjudication into the accounts.
The patient pays their share only
With the insurer portion settled during the visit, the front desk collects the balance rather than invoicing the full amount and chasing it later.
Token-based authentication
The integration authenticates with OAuth client credentials configured server-side, so no long-lived password sits in the application.
Mapped to your services and providers
Your services and practitioners are mapped to what GreenShield expects, so submissions carry the right codes without staff choosing them.
Adjudication kept with the invoice
The response is retained against the invoice it produced, which is what makes a later query answerable from the record.
From service to settled claim.
The service is billed on the visit.
Delivered services become billable items on the visit, which is what the GreenShield claim is built from.
The claim goes to Provider Connect.
Clinicmaster authenticates with your clinic’s credentials and submits the claim online, waiting for the adjudication rather than queuing it.
The response posts to the account.
An accepted claim creates the funder invoice and posts the insurer payment; the remainder stays with the patient.
What this integration does not do
Provider Connect is GreenShield’s own gateway, not a separate partner — if you have seen it named on its own elsewhere, it is the same connection. Coverage and adjudication decisions are GreenShield’s. Provider enrolment and your Provider Connect credentials are arranged with them.
