accessiBe · Web-accessibility integration
Make the pages patients actually use more accessible.
accessiBe adds an accessibility interface to a web experience — screen-reader and keyboard-navigation support, contrast, text sizing and motion controls. In Clinicmaster it is enabled on the patient-facing portal and online booking, in your clinic’s colours and the patient’s language.
The accessiBe integration
accessiBe provides a web-accessibility interface that sits on top of a site and gives visitors adjustments — screen-reader and keyboard-navigation support, contrast and colour changes, larger text, reduced motion, content highlighting. Clinicmaster loads it into the patient-facing portal and online-booking experience when the clinic is licensed for it, initialised with the clinic’s primary colour and the language the patient is using.
What the accessiBe integration does.
Booking an appointment is often the first thing a patient does with your clinic. If that page is hard to use, the visit may never happen.
On the pages patients use
The accessibility interface is loaded into the client portal and online booking — where patients book, complete forms and pay — rather than only on a marketing site.
Adjustments visitors control
Patients choose what they need: screen-reader and keyboard-navigation support, contrast and colour changes, larger text, reduced motion, content highlighting.
Follows the patient’s language
The interface initialises in the language the patient is already using, so the accessibility controls themselves are not another barrier.
Wears your brand
The trigger and interface pick up your clinic’s primary colour, so it reads as part of your experience rather than a bolted-on third-party widget.
Sized properly on mobile
The trigger has its own mobile sizing and placement, so it stays reachable on a phone without covering the booking flow.
Applied by the platform
Enabled by licensing module and injected by the application — there is no script for your team to paste in and no per-user setting to get wrong.
From licensed to live on the portal.
The module is licensed for your clinic.
accessiBe is switched on per clinic through licensing. Nothing needs installing and there is no code for your team to add.
The interface initialises with your settings.
When a patient opens the portal or booking flow, Clinicmaster loads accessiBe with your primary colour and the patient’s current language.
The patient chooses what they need.
A persistent trigger opens the accessibility panel, where the visitor applies the adjustments that suit them for the rest of their session.
What this integration does not do
Two honest limits. First, scope: this applies to the Clinicmaster patient portal and online booking — it does not cover your separately-hosted clinic website, which needs its own accessiBe subscription. Second, compliance: an accessibility interface supports your obligations under standards like AODA in Ontario and the ADA, but no widget makes an organisation compliant on its own. Treat it as one part of an accessibility programme, and take your own advice on what your jurisdiction requires.
Accessible digital service is an expectation, not a nice-to-have.
Ontario’s AODA sets accessibility requirements for organisations serving the public, and equivalent expectations exist across other provinces and under the ADA in the US. For a clinic, the practical point is narrower than the legislation: the portal and booking pages are where patients self-serve, and a patient who cannot complete a booking is a patient who phones instead — or goes elsewhere. Enabling accessiBe on those pages is a concrete step you can take today, alongside the broader accessibility work only your clinic can do.
