SendGrid · Email delivery integration
Send clinic email that actually lands.
SendGrid is the email infrastructure behind Clinicmaster. Appointment notifications, statements, form invitations and Central Office marketing campaigns all leave through it — as templated, per-language email — and every open, click and bounce comes back so you can see what happened after send.
The SendGrid integration
SendGrid (part of Twilio) is an email delivery platform built for high-volume transactional and marketing sending. Clinicmaster uses it as its email engine: each clinic sends from its own sub-account using dynamic templates resolved by language and message type, unsubscribed addresses are respected before send, and SendGrid’s event webhooks write delivery, open, click and bounce results back onto the patient’s communication history.
What the SendGrid integration does.
Clinicmaster owns who gets emailed, in which language, and what it says. SendGrid gets it delivered and reports back what happened.
Transactional and campaign email in one engine
Appointment notifications, statements and form invitations go out through the same provider as Central Office marketing campaigns — one sending setup, one event log.
Templates resolved by language
Each message type has a template per language, so a francophone patient receives the French version automatically without staff picking anything.
A sub-account per clinic
Clinics in a group send from their own SendGrid sub-account and templates, which keeps sending reputation and branding separate across locations.
Delivery events written back
SendGrid posts delivered, open, click, bounce and spam-report events to Clinicmaster over webhooks — with bounce type and failure reason — so the record shows what reached the patient.
Unsubscribes enforced before send
Marketing sends check the unsubscribe state for that address and pool before dispatch, so an opted-out patient is not emailed again by a later campaign.
Attachments on outbound mail
Statements, receipts and generated documents are attached to the email that references them, instead of being sent separately or handed over at the desk.
From template to tracked delivery.
Your clinic’s sending is set up.
We configure the clinic’s SendGrid sub-account, sending addresses and template set server-side, and map each Clinicmaster message type to its template per language.
Clinicmaster resolves and dispatches.
When a notification fires or a campaign runs, Clinicmaster picks the right template and language, merges the data, checks unsubscribe state and hands the message to SendGrid.
Events land back on the record.
Delivery, open, click, bounce and spam-report events arrive by webhook and are written to the communication log — with campaign name and bounce reason where SendGrid provides them.
What this integration does not do
SendGrid is the delivery layer, not the campaign builder — audiences, templates and scheduling are managed in Central Office marketing. Reply handling is ordinary email to your clinic’s inbox: Clinicmaster tracks what it sent and what SendGrid reported back, and does not parse patient replies into the chart.
What Clinicmaster records for every email sent.
Email is not fire-and-forget either. Each message keeps its template, language and recipient alongside everything SendGrid subsequently reported about it, which is what makes “did the patient ever get this?” answerable.
